Do you get a lot of virus from limewire? It seams like everytime I download music to a computer it slows the computer down. Have you had that problem?

My last computer i had Limewire downloaded on and all the music was an old crusty piece of crap that i just figured was slow anyways...not sure if it was Limewire related or not, never really thought about it,could have been i guess.

I swear by limewire...but then again I'm a mac geek & I don't have nearly the virus/spyware probs as windoze peeps do so i dunno if that's why i've never had a prob with it....

Soulseek is great.
Also, you can search Megaupload and Rapidshare files using this search engine:

Can you still download free music like to your computer just to burn cd's from?

I found that rapidshare and other link-based downloads are far superior to limewire and you can find great blogs where people review albums as well and include album covers with the download.

I've used mininova before. There used to be one called suprnova.com. Another good way to search for torrents is google. If I'm looking for something I'll use google to search for the keyword description and then put .torrent after the keywords.
I honestly don't know much about limewire. they've probably changed alot in the past few years. When i used it years ago I would always get spyware or trojans.
That reminds me of another good thing for everyone to remember. Always look at the file size of what you're downloading. Some viruses are hidden and look just like what you're looking for but the file size will be extremely small like 242kb or something like that.

Try WinMX ..It blows Limewire away, with better search results and less viruses....It can be hard to find the legitimate link, so u can PM me if interested, and I'll send ya the link...Take care.
