T-5 para here, my 15 year aniversery of my injury is next weds the 4th of feb !!! Ok I need to ask I've been struggling with strange lower abdominal pain for about 6 months now sometimes so bad that I can't barely get out of bed, it tens to travel to different spots each day, left, right, center etc, I've had tons of tests cat scans, blood work, prostate, had a colonoscopy about a year ago, all came out fine, no uti, renal function is fine, so now the dreaded diagnosis is nueropathic pain, I always thought that this type of pain was the burning in the legs and such, mine seems to be very location specific, and tends to respond to when I move around, anyone with similar symptoms??? I'm dreading taking lyrica I don't know why but it scares me, any help or advice from you fine people is appreciated :)

Many doctors won't acknowledge that neuropathic pain can manifest in the gut. I have a webpage that discusses this some, so read through this and see if it makes any sense to you. It was written with doctors in mind, and looking at it again now I see that I should probably revise it for easier reading, but it might address what you're dealing with.

As with any abdominal pain, I highly recommend that you address this with your doctor. There are a number of other possibilities that he can consider and some of them may deserve quick attention.

Welcome to my world.
I try to ignore it for now. It started in July 2008.
I do take half 25/mg Amitriptyline a night although the whole pill was rx'ed.
yeah, me too. all the tests, naturopath, etc. no help except bland foods. i was injured in 1986, neuropathic pain since injury, but that plus recent gut pain has knocked me out of work and i stay in bed a lot. flat on my back due to gut pain.
hi vem! thx for holiday greeting! i was flat on back, no turkey

Interesting.
I have neuropathic, central nerve, whatever the hell it is called from my level of injury down and I'm a T-4 Complete. By the end of the day, it is compounded. When I first wake up, it is only slightly annoying. By 7 PM or so, I start thinking about laying down.

I guess we are all inthis together, I have to stay on lyrica for one month supposeedly for it to kick in I'm not optimistic for it to work but I'm willing to tryfor a month then I'll ween off if it doesn't work I read in forums that it may be gas so I'll try OTC gas remedy, I also think It might just be related to the fact that I've been sittingfor 15 years it has to wear on abdomen to be in this position for so long...

Is anyone's painful/tender to touch? I can touch a certain area of my abdomen and it feels tender/bruised. It's to the right of my navel about an inch up. Even clothing lightly going over the spot or water from the shower is felt as some mild tenderness/pain. I don't have full sensation there either, just diminished.

In case you don't know the term for it, that's a form of allodynia.

Hey thanx, I briefly looked it up and will read more into it later.
It's not terribly painful anymore, but enough that's it's uncomfortable/annoying because it's constant and never goes away.
I could swear if they opened me up there would be some pulling scar tissue, a bad gall bladder, or something going on in that exact location.
