Support group In Charlotte

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to tell anyone that lives near Charlotte, NC should come to the support group. I drive from Asheville, it's only 2 1/2 hours.

It is the third Thursday of every month from 12.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. at the Jewish Community Center.

I can give directions if anyone is interested.

SeenKid...curious..why the time frame? Does that help with better attendance? Our support group meets in the evening (630pm-800pm), and the attendance is light. What do ya'll do during the meeting? Discussions, outings? Im kinda looking for suggestions to pass along to our director, to better meet the wheelers in our area....thanks for any suggestions, and thats pretty awesome to make that drive to get to yours!...take care...

hey graybeard,

you know I am not really sure why the time is like that? The director brings drinks and chips and stuff.

We usually just talk amongst ourselves. Catch up with each other and then other times when there is some new people we go around the room and talk about our injuries and such.

Last month there was a married couple, their son was in a car accident and they came for some guidance.

I also go to the one here in Asheville and we have cookouts at the local parks, and next month we are going bowling, and for Christmas we went out to a cantina restaurant and ate dinner.

Wow, Megan, the Asheville group sounds like more fun! Maybe I should start driving up there for your meetings too...LOL.

Seriously, the Charlotte group is great and I'd like to second what Megan said. The more the merrier.
