My computer is set up with Windows Vista and Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9.5
when I'm dictating something onto Microsoft Office Word 2007 it seems as though the dictation is significantly slower.
Does anyone else experienced this or have any advice?
So Dragon is okay with all other applications except for Microsoft Word 2007? Defrag your computer and see if this helps. In the Tools menu - select - Options, and go to the Miscellaneous Tab to find, Speed Versus Accuracy. Use the slider to increase your speed. Can you provide us with your computer's specs? I don't use Word 2007 and I am not aware of any slowdown issues, but that doesn't mean there isn't any.
Intel Core 2 Duo
4 GB of RAM
Windows XP Pro SP2
DNS 10 Pro

I will try to defragmenting.
My computer is a laptop with Intel Core Duo 2.0Gb Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9.5 Windows Vista
Would More Gb make the computer run faster?
It's embarrassing to admit how computer illiterate I really am. I appreciate your advice.

I used Vista with 2 GB of RAM and DNS 9.5 ran just fine. If Microsoft Word 2007 is really slow, then you could try OpenOffice (http://download.openoffice.org/) just to compare the two wordprocessors. OpenOffice is free and it works just as well as Microsoft Office.
