I have often converted from a Mpeg or avi file but have not been able to convert from a DVD to a Mpeg or avi file. Is there any software available to do this?

I use a program called SUPER it will convert any format video to mp4 (for Ipod) or any other format. Check it out through Google. If I figure out how to post a link I will.:D

I use a program called AutoGK. It takes a few hours to create the AVI file after I copy the disc to the hard drive using DVD decryptor. The final copy ends up in DVD quality with a surround sound. I play them on my TV with the home theater computer.t

It appears that these programs are able to convert to IPOD, Zune or MP4 format, but not avi or mpeg. Perhaps I am missing something.

Hey! Mike, I use "FLV to AVI MPEG WMV 3GP MP4 iPod Converter". It will convert just about anything you throw at it. I use it to convert youtube music video's into mp3's.

All you do is drop your movie file in the Source Files, choose where you want to save in the Output Folder and under Profiles pick what you want to convert to. When you done all that click on the Convert icon on top. It works pretty fast.
