Any familiar with these? Here's the situation...
I'm trying to "shrink" a file. I'm receiving an error that says, "encountered an error and cannot continued", as well as, "The system cannot find the file specified." The file plays fine on my computer, but I would really like to squeeze it on a disk. Any suggestions? I've been working on this forever and no luck. How do I get this torrent into a file and shrink it to fit on a DVD. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated. Maybe a link for an instruction guide that would help, or something.

I am not sure if I even understand what you mean, but I have been using this program for shrinking

but I am not very clever on the computer

My bro gave me a copy of this program

It converts/shrinks heaps of video formats onto a dvd quite simply. You may be able to get a full copy in a torrent somewhere.

Just what freddyboy said. Use ConverttoDVD. It works great.

It is 700MB and I'm trying to use DVD Shrink Steven. 700mb will easily fit on a DVD. Six will, in fact. :)

Im using ConvertXtoDVD, it says it worked properly, but won't play in the player. Any tips? I've been all over the torrent forums messing with this and cannot figure it out for the life of me.

What DVD player (and model) do you have?
They won't all play burned discs. Some will only play certain types of burned DVDs, like finalized DVD+Rs (but not -Rs).

Hey, not sure if you've sorted the issue yet, but it is likely the DVD player - different countries have different codes and like steven says different players won't play certain types of burnt DVDs. Try it on other players - not sure if settings or disc types will help as I haven't had the problem myself. Good luck

if been doing this for years and the cheapest is to buy a divx player with usb support, this is what i use http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8701844&st=philips&lp=2&type=product&cp=1&id=1199495403415 it will play all most any format you have just burn it to dvd or if you have a flash drive or any external hard drive (format it to fat32) plug it in the usb and never burn a disc again, you can also unlock it, make it region free so it will play any dvd in the world, never had a problem, any questions let me know.
