I turned 14 in Nov of that year, and this song I used to crank up all the time. Life is grand when you're 12, 13 and 14 yo.

I love Heart - Barracuda is one of their best. Maybe their best ever.

To piss off older folks when I was a kid, I'd crank up AC/DC - they thought I was worshiping the devil

Back in black
I hit the sack
I've been too long I'm glad to be back
Yes, I'm let loose
From the noose
That's kept me hanging about
I've been looking at the sky
'Cause it's gettin' me high
Forget the hearst 'cause I never die
I got nine lives
Cat's eyes
Abusin' every one of them and running wild
CHORUS:
'Cause I'm back
Yes, I'm back
Well, I'm back
Yes, I'm back
Well, I'm back, back
(Well) I'm back in black
Yes, I'm back in black
hey hey hey hey hey
Back in the back
Of a Cadillac
Number one with a bullet, I'm a power pack
Yes, I'm in a band
With a gang
They've got to catch me if they want me to hang
Cause I'm back on the track
And I'm beatin' the flak
Nobody's gonna get me on another rap
Don't look at me now
I'm just makin' my play
Don't try to push your luck, just get out of my way
CHORUS
well, I'm back, Yes I'm back
Well, I'm back, Yes I'm back
Well, I'm back
Well I'm back in black
Yes I'm back in black
hooo yeah
Ohh yeah
Yes I am
Oooh yeah, yeah Oh yeah
Back in now
Well I'm back, I'm back
Back, I'm back
Back, I'm back
Back, I'm back
Back, I'm back
Back
Back in black
Yes I'm back in black
Out of the sac!

LOL...I grew up in one of those crazy fundamentalist Southern Baptist churches...no wonder I'm messed up in the head...LOL, again.

We were told that AC/DC stood for "Against Christ/Devil's Children" and KISS was "Kids In Service To Satan"...:zombie:...god, it's a miracle I survived my religious upbringing!

My folks let us kids find out for ourselves what we believed in when we got to be about 8 or so. The older people I used to piss off were teachers, coaches, friend's moms and the older generation in general :mega: But I sure as hell had an easier time than you did Danine, what with you growing up in the Baptist church.

So you were more brave, and I had it easy :) ;) The boys and girls are back in town...

This is what used to come from my brothers room, and I dug it. In the early 80's, I wanted to so badly see Deep Purple when they played in Phoenix on their Perfect Strangers tour but didn't make it cuz I think my friend's bailed on me (I don't really remember) I just know we didn't go and we went to alot of concerts during that time.

As far as cranking up the tunes, when I was a kid I used to like a lot of the heavy metal headbanging bands. Metallica was definitely one of my favorites.

In the early 90s I enjoyed listening to Pearl Jam and nine inch nails quite a bit at high volumes.

Nowadays it seems to be a catchy tune here and there rather than really good bands, IMO.
