When I first saw this, http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20081228/pl_politico/16882 I thought it would be an intersting article to post in the Politics forum. However, as I read along, I realized that the change in personal habits and routines that Obama is adjusting to are not unlike what many of SCI people go through during the transition from AB to the wheelchair; The loss of privacy, dignity and the constant scrutiny.
The big difference, unfortunately, is that we live with far worse, far longer.

Allow me to clarify the point that I was trying to make. I don't think that these people realize the extent that thier life changes in these situations, even after being told repeatedly. So, how can we (SCI'd) educate others to the changes we were forced to make to the people who ultimately make decisions for us when they have not been able to see something like how the office will change thier freedom?
Regardless of how much we explain, people just don't get it until they experience it first hand.
