The forum will be turned off tomorrow morning at around 5:30 to try installing a Wiki. I'm hoping to have everything up and running by 7am.
Sorry for any inconvenience.

Early day for you Steven. Thanks for all you do to keep us going and connected.
With any luck I, like Daves, will be in the midst of my best sleepy time.

I'll be sleeping as well.
Thanks for all you do for us.
Aw, I think that's around the time I'm usually on CC in the morning. Still, at least I'll know why it's not there. :)

We're back! :D
I'll be testing the Wiki for a day or two. When I get the kinks (if any) worked out, it will go live for everyone.

Yay I've been waiting. Thanks Steven, you're a helluva guy. :thumb:
Um how is Wiki gonna work?
Yay, CC was always available whenever I looked, so I obviously missed the downtime.
Thanks Steven.
I'll be interested to see what the Wiki is like.

duge,
Wikis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiki) allow users to collaboratively add and edit content to a knowledge base, similar to Wikipedia.
Basically, there will be a lot of different pages that members here can keep up-to-date. I imagine that there will be pages for certain researchers (e.g., Wise Young, Hans Keirstead, Stephen Davies) listing their ongoing and prior research. It will be a one-stop shop for information related to spinal cord injuries.
Thanks everyone. I'll let you know how everything works when I figure it out. ;)

Freaking awesome, Steven. Will it be a compilation of current data, or a new beginning?
Thanks a lot, you deserve a > :first:

Thanks quadvet.
The wiki will be a fresh start, so there will be lots of work for us to do once it gets going.

Steven, is it just me or is there a problem when doing quoted replies? A click on 'submit' and it goes and then a blank page appears with 'done' down in the left corner. Wait, wait, wait...hit refresh and then get a click retry, click on retry and get a 'this is a duplicate and will be redirected to that post'. Then I am back to my one time quoted reply. If I use 'quick reply' no problems or delay at all.

I noticed that as well, probably half my posts yesterday I had that problem.

It's not just you, Sue. The Wiki is only enabled for me and Wise, so I thought only we get that problem. It happens intermittently on quick replys as well, though I haven't been able to find a situation that consistently reproduces the behavior.
I disabled the Wiki since it's affecting others as well. Let me know if it happens again.
ETA: Bah! It happened just now, using quick reply. Disabling it didn't help.

It just happened to me on a regular post.

It just happened to me on a regular post. Argh. I'm trying to diagnose it. To get support from the Wiki developer, I'll probably have to upgrade vBulletin to 3.7.4. I'll do that (probably 10-15 minutes) tomorrow morning.
Please just tolerate it for now.
Thanks. :)

It's no problem, I know how frustrating this stuff can be, thanks for all the work you do to keep this site going.

Same here. No sweat.
Yeah, I got the blank page and "done" last night after a post. (I have had it a few times before).
I opened another window for CareCure the first time it happened, so I saw that the post had gone through ok, despite the blank page.
ETA: I just got the blank page after posting this, lol.
