Celebrities Along With Top LPGA Stars to Participate in the Karrie Webb Celebrity Pro-Am to Benefit the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation
NEW YORK, July 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Karrie Webb, winner of 26 LPGA titles, including five major championships, will join nine celebrities and nine LPGA professionals for the 3rd annual Karrie Webb Celebrity Pro-Am to benefit the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation. The tournament will be held at Century Country Club in Purchase, New York on Monday, July 22, 2002.
Competing with Karrie are fellow LPGA professionals Beth Daniel, Meg Mallon, Lorie Kane, Michelle McGann, Nancy Scranton, Kelly Robbins, Pat Bradley and Rachel Teske. They will be joined by sports, media and entertainment luminaries including Billy Crudup, James Naughton, Joe Piscopo, Jerry Orbach, Billy Baldwin, Kenneth Cole, All My Children's Marj Dusay, Kay Cockerill, and NASCAR racing champion Dale Jarrett.
"I'm very excited to once again host this unique and memorable event," said Webb. "As you know, all of the money that we raise helps to support the efforts of the CRPF in their quest to find a cure for spinal cord injuries."
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast, followed by an exhibition by the LPGA professionals at 10:00 a.m. Following lunch, the tournament will begin with a shotgun start at approximately 12:45 p.m. A gala dinner and silent auction will follow play.
Various sponsorship opportunities are still available for corporations or organizations of any size. Packages are currently available at the "Birdie" and "Eagle" levels and can be purchased through the CRPF office. All packages include a foursome in the Pro-Am during which the group will be paired for nine holes with an LPGA professional and for nine holes with a Celebrity Guest. A gift bag for each participant and tickets to the dinner are also included.
