This forum was requested by several members and we hope that it will provide a forum where veterans, families, and friends can discuss spinal cord injury and related issues that are special to the military. Both the circumstances and the institutions that veterans must deal with are different from those that many civilians face.
We are very lucky that a veteran with spinal cord injury volunteered to be the moderator of this forum. You can click on his link to find out more about him. While he is new to CareCure, Veteran Advisor is very experienced and knowledgeable about veteran affairs. KLD (our own SCI-Nurse) has agreed to moderate this forum for a while.

Welcome, Moderator Sherman, sir! We at CareCure salute your (and all the other veterans' service) to our country's bravest.
I'm not a veteran but I'm very heartened to see this forum created. Long, long overdue, I'm sure.

I'll be sure to let Canadian veterans know the URL. Cool, there's a special place in my heart for Canuck troops, having had several interactions with them both active and as veterans. Good chaps, in my opinion.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. And thank you Dr. Young for getting this started. I'll do my best to ensure the veterans of CareCure are armed with the best information with respect to VA benefits. I'm ready for your questions or concerns, vets. Send 'em.

Gunner, I was going to wait a while before setting up a Veterans only forum (a private forum) that only members who apply for membership and are approved by the moderators of the forum can see and post to. Such a forum would allow veterans to discuss topics and areas that they don't want the public to see. I am waiting because I thought that you might need a little time to get use to the moderator tools and to accumulate more posts in the public forum. However, if you think that having a private forum earlier would be better, I can set it up. Thanks.
Wise.
