I was recently put on fentanyl 25mg. I was told by a friend who has TM like me, that fentanyl is a nerve blocking pain reliever. My question is how will this effect my damaged nerves. Or will it at all?

It works in the brain on pain receptors. It really shouldnt effect your nerves at all. Often it is used for chronic pain for SCI. But again it doesnt block nerves. Maybe they were confused with Lidocaine patch which does to some degree "block nerves."

Thanks... I'm a para from t2 down. They gave it to me instead of my perk 10. It's alittle strong for me but i'm trying to get use to it.

Shana if the dose is doing more than controlling the pain then you should ask to try a lower dose. Since fentynal is one of those drugs most people normally have to increase as time goes on it's best to start with the lowest dose possible.
Shots of it immediately after surgery is nice though.. :mega:
