Yea so I have given birth to 2 babies, both easy times, one a 9 lb 3 oz delivery took hour in a half, she popped out like a jelly bean.. pain not bad. My spinal cord was cut open like a crab and tumor taken out, pain now on goin. My tolerance is high.

But yesterday at 6;00 a.m., I awoke to stabbing pain in lower left side of back, pain like I never felt, am sweating, headache,my tan face as white a ghost, gona puke, swallowed hard not to. Am all alone and scared, is it heart attack symptoms(women present different) mittleschmirtz was never this bad and am in throws of mentlepause, no period for 7 months. wtf..What about AD? Never had it, can this trigger it, I forget.. but not sure.

Holy shit think clear, what to do, yes go to ER.Is now 7:15 .Call daughter-in-law she is close by, everyone else at work an hour away, wont bother neighbors. She can be here by 8:15.. hold on she says. I hang up, its getting worse, now I cry and am not crier. Holy shit this hurts, mo fo, son of a *%#1..cussin like a sailor...am I dying , doubled over shaking.

Screw it, I getting in the car and goin to ER. Can't wait, not dying without a fight. Get there about 7:45 take me right away...give me cup to pee in, can I pee, which I did before I left , drink water, wait, go pee right away, maybe a teaspoon, hate those cups awayway. Get up from toilet, holy mother of god, the pain is gone, why yes...its a miracle.

So now Doctor Mc Steemie comes in, thats one hunk of a man, with teeth as white a pearls and the bod is happening too...there I sit all used up from pain. We discuss all things possible, tell him pains all gone, I feel stupid, he says better to walk in alive then be wheeled in dead. Could have need many serious life threatning things. I denied a complete exam from Mc Steemie, rather go to my own Internist and GYN which are coming up in next few weeks. I am in the car and driving home by 8:45.

Long story short I think it was a kidney stone and some of the worse pain I ever had. Who else have had kidney stones, most especially women. Its worse than child birth eh?

Well, not a woman, but found out lastyr that I've had a few, but only realized it then. I had the back side pain a few times over the yrs and a feeling like ... wow I gotta pee RIGHT now, last yr got xray conf. I had a kidney stone. They said it was way to big to pass it, so set a surgery time to go in and zap it, but night b4 I had that ol I gotta pee RIGHT now, guiess what,it was a peice of cake. All my buddies said wow man it's gonna hurt soooo bad coming out, hell it was nothin compared to the back pain.
But wow the worst part is trying to find a comfortable position, isn't it?And then how many days is it gonna last, my last was 6 days. Hope I'm done with em, but I bet not. Good luck

Sounds like one to me. My sensation is so odd, though. I've only ever puked from pain twice-gallstone and kidneystone. They don't pass so fast on me, they have to hang at the top of my bladder and make me feel like I have to pee first, for a week or so.

My first one, the pain started low, like you're saying, so I didn't think kidney stone until Wise said it. I was in DC, it was lobbying day and I'd rattled over hell's half acre in my chair. Thought my hip was hurting me. Had to leave the party downstairs in the bar (sure sign of a problem!)

And then pain of labor quality. A Samaritan gave me a muscle relaxer, I fell asleep, woke up, it was gone. Went home, went to the ER a few nights later b/c I felt I needed to PEE. I think they thought I was a drug seeker, sent me home, told me to make dr's appt. He ordered CAT scan.

And it was still there! Uro said it was classic, that the bladder spasms are really annoying at that stage.

So you might keep an eye for that. You'll be more prone to them now. If you get another, that pain is spasm in your ureters. Muscle relaxer might help.

Glad it's gone!

Oh yeah, forgot, fishin' guy = right, you'll be sore.

I've heard it's comparable in pain, although I have to say dang nice one with the jelly bean! I had one 12lb. and one 9.4, 60+ hrs. between the two and no, nothing could ever compare! But it does sound like a stone for you, too bad you missed out on mc steamy ;)
