What is not a "normal" response to pain? I know dumb question. Is it normal to be in so much pain that you actually become physically ill and throw up? :(:(:(:(:(:(:(

Its not abnormal. A lot of people get sick. I used to get horribly sick, but then I trained my body to just go to sleep whenever I felt pain. I wish I could do that now.

Depends on what is causing the pain and how often it happens and how long that level of pain lasts. If you're in a car accident and have a limb amputated, the reaction you describe would be totally normal. If you just wake up in the morning with no obvious sign of trauma and are in that much pain, then no, that isn't "normal", but if it's neuropathy then that term doesn't really apply anyway. Be more specific about what you're asking and it will be easier to answer.

It sounds like you need some pain management, unless this is a rare occurence. I can be really in a great deal of pain and still do not feel like tossing.

No, it is not normal to be in so much pain that you throw up. I live with pain on a daily basis, yet only had pain that made me heave once. It was gawdawful!!!

When I was a teen and into my early 20s I had migraines. Out of nowhere I'd find myself walking to the nearest bathroom. Throw my guts up suddenly, no pre-nauseaus feeling just weird, and then a bolt of lightening would hit me right behind my eyes. Back then it was just lay in a dark, quiet room with a cool compress on my forehead. Or the doc would give me enough codiene to help me sleep.

From time to time I wonder if pain could cause me to lose my mind. I think yes.

Before I had my stimulator put in I basically gave up and was ready to check out. I started vomiting because my body was breaking down due to so much pain. It is usually a wake up call.
