Anyone have any ideas here?

I'm helping out a Community Forum, www.ubpn.org (Brachial Plexus Injury / Arm Paralysis), update their Forum website and we're looking for the best option available. We are currently using a customized older version of Jive Software, and it's like the dark ages in there.

Care Cure uses vBulletin as the operating platform (notice at bottom of page "Powered by vBulletin").
Which I like a lot. Two other forums that I visit occasionally use it as well, and I find it very functional and progressive.

I don't have any experience with phpBB Community Forums and have been trying to find some to compare layouts and functionality. This really isn't my field of expertise, or even understanding really, but someone's got to take the bull by the horns!

RECOMMEND ANYTHING! Post any links to forums that work well, or their system software.

these are the only ones I'm familiar with
http://www.vbulletin.com
http://www.phpbb.com
http://www.jivesoftware.com

Thanks,
Chris

vBulletin is by far the best, I've been using it since 2000. It gets updated and patched frequently so your community won't get compromised.

You can also migrate your old database to vBulletin using (Impex) if your old forum system is supported.

If you needed anything just contact me, I'd be glad to help.

Thanks Neo!

This is what I'm leaning towards too.

Anyone else out there have any recommendations
or worthy community forums that I could look at?

Drupal seems popular, if a bit messy.
