I have two of these at work and they are a workhorse. I burn out the print heads evey 6 months get the refurbished once a year. I have one that sounds like it is straining it would print 10 pages or so and stop. I sent it back to my friends at Printer Repair Depot and told Mike and Victor. I thought it was the 50 cable I run to them but when I changed them the other one worked fine. Then I thought it was the A B Data Transfer Switch.(I use it when I need to print to the Lazer Jet 111) I changed the box same thing. I got it back today and the Oki will run about 100 pages and go offline. Sticks me with a gothic, 10 and the alarm light blinks. Any ideas?
Best regards,
Matt

Shotgun?

Maybe corrupt memory. Doubt it's anything easily fixable.

I read this "Increasing your printer's memory will allow you to print better at higher resolutions, particularly if you have an older printer without a lot of onboard RAM." " There are two possible ways that additional RAM may help during printing:
Adding RAM to your PC often improves multitasking ability. By adding more RAM to your system, you may actually be able to speed up the other applications that you are running while you are printing.
Adding RAM to your printer can speed up the process of printing. (Not all printers are upgradable, so check the Memory Advisor tool on this page to see if yours is.)I guess that could help.

I sent the printer to the shop and the rplaced the motherboard in he printer. Itworked one full day and jammed at night. I restarted the printer at 8:30 and it gave me a gothic, 10 and alrm light which tell me there is a printer problem. Moved the cable to the other Okidata 3410 Pacemark and the same thing happened. I moved the printer next to the AB box so I could use a shoter cable, same thing so I ordered another AB box. Does this sound like what I need to do? A runs my HP Lazerjet 111 just fine but B will not run it. I hope I don't get into the computer I have blown a LPT1 port? :agog: I switche the cable from A to B same thing?
