For anyone needing this software I have found that FileZilla is the best and the price is right, free. Setting up and transferring data is fast and simple.

WinSCP does all that for free. It is also a lot less bloated.

I use FileZilla on my XP laptop. Does the job. *shrug*
Yummy FTP on my OSX desktop. $25, but worth every penny.

It might be old school but I have found winsock FTP useful. Granted I have not used it after graduating from Hoo-Ville.
FileZilla, CoreFTP.. I prefer FileZilla client app and FTP server app..

The most recent version of SmartFTP that I've tried is not freeware. However, as others have stated, FileZilla is freeware and quite good. My choice for FTP software right now.

I too, recommend WinSCP. It's lightweight, fast and secure.
