I've already mentioned I write a weekly humorous/inspirational web page, located at http://www.mysnack.org. If you were to go to that page and scroll down to the "By the Way" section, you'll find a link where you can download my free E-book, "Pain, Prayer and Power." Taken from essays written right before ... and shortly after my spinal infarct, and continuing through my months in the nursing home, ending with my return home six months after rushing to the ER, this book is about how I got through this crisis and, as a result of it, was able develop a closer relationship with God.
Instructions are given as to how you need to download the free software from the Microsoft web site first, before you download the book.
Humorous in tone, the book begins as I am still able to walk but am dealing with crippling back pain. It picks up a few weeks later as I begin to learn HOW to be a paraplegic and how I learned that by being of service to others, I could feel less and less sorry for myself. And it ends with my return home to an apartment much too small to handle a paralyzed resident.
Any questions? Shoot me an e-mail at bobber_1@OhIwantNoSpam.charter.net, taking care to remove either the "OhIwantNoSpam" or the "bobber." (I'd keep the bobber in there, if it was me.
