How often, as you sat in your den, stroking your beard or petting your cat have you thought, "Gee! It would be so helpful to have a funny website with a Christian message that quite often touches on the topic of living with adverse conditions like chronic pain, paraplegia and such!"?

Never? Good. You're normal. But that's the kind of site I do. "FOOD! A Weekly Snack for the Spirit!" is never about how bad you are or how you should believe a certain way lest thy soul be casteth into the realm of Lawrence Welk reruns. Rather, it concentrates on how faith and prayer can get you through the worst of physical problems. And as a rookie paraplegic, I can testify to it.

Never "preachy," I invite you to check it out. New editions every weekend, no cover charge, free parking and competitors coupons will be honored!

Thanks for the comments about the photo. I'm stil fairly new at this paraplegia stuff. But faith and humor have gotten me through some REEEEEEALLY tough times.

I make a lot of fun about my condition. (Like I'm supposed to be NICE to something that robbed me of my sex life, my ability to walk ... and to polka??? Ta HECK with THAT!!!I

I figure (and, I beieve, correctly) that by ridiculing my paraplegia -- not the paraplegic, but the paraplegia -- I take power AWAY from it and RECLAIM it.

It doesn't return my lower body to functional status ... but it keeps my brain in tip-top shape!
