I have a EtenX650, but you can look at what HTC has on US market.

HTC is direct competitor to iPhone and Eten is HTC competitor. They are new on the market but they used to assemble for big names.
I don't like to watch movies on PDA. Too much work(time consuming ) for compressing, and can;t enjoy the movie on a small screen.
That's my opinion.
My EtenX650 is for browsing over internet, make notes and read. I'm a quad, with no finger movement. I had to add a patch in order to have good touch screen control with my finger nails.
Google now works on gPhone with a open source OS(Android). Let's wait and see what they bring on the market.
am c7. have ipod nano primarily for audiobooks. use thumb knuckle for controls. they're a bit sensitive, but not bad at all. i think my ipod is suitable for my level of function and those with less. jmo.
This is one product that (quad friendly) you don't want to purchase sight unseen. I have heard that the iPod Touch is good for watching movies, but is more difficult to use when you are trying to find songs because of the touch screen compared to the iPod click wheel. It comes with the Safari browser and one complaint I have heard is that there is no cut and paste. I don't think it will work with AT&T's HSDPA high speed data plan, but then again you don't have to sign up for a two-year contract where you have to pay $30 a month.

I messed with one briefly over the weekend. I only viewed photos with it. It worked well and I'd like to get one. It had a protective case on it with a piece on the back that folded out so it could stand up. That made it easier to hold. I was able to use it by holding it in my lap with 1 hand and using my thumb to touch the screen. I'd say try it out before you buy.

Totally worth it. I have an iPhone but have a buddy who has a Touch. If you don't need the phone, the Touch can still do a lot (wifi is almost everywhere), and it's really quad friendly. I was quite surprised, even after using a Blackberry efficiently for 2yrs. I have an iPod w/ a click wheel too... the iPhone is easier.
I have a Toughskin case for my iPhone. Speck (the manufacturer) has one for the Touch as well... definitely worth it, IMO... and makes it a lot easier to hold.

I have a 16gig Touch, and I love it. Use it every day, multiple times a day. I have no problem navigating music - I find it much nicer than using the click-wheel on a classic ipod. Flipping through albums with CoverFlow is brilliant, and scrolling through the music via text is equally satisfying.
I don't watch many movies on it, so I can't speak much for that. I browse the web every day, though, and it is without a doubt the best mobile web portal available. I read all my news and keep up with all those blogs using my touch while lazing on the couch. Much handier than sitting at a computer or lugging about a laptop.
Long story short, I totally love my ipod touch. Having said all that, I'm coming from a para-perspective. Not having finger use would make it more difficult, I imagine. If you can get past that hurdle, though, I'm sure you would love it!

Wait for the new iphone coming next month. It will be only $199., slimmer and faster.
Yes, they are very quad friendly after getting accustomed.
Get a case as to not drop it. I use a flip case I purchased cheap on Ebsy.

It's only 199 if you get a new 2yr contract. Else it still very expensive.
