Hello everyone,
I'm looking for recommendations on headsets for use with DragonDictate on a new laptop I bought. I prefer a wireless headset but would settle for a light weight wired headset. Are there any Bluetooth headsets that can be used for dictation on the market? I looked around the net but only found Bluetooth headsets for cell phones. Thanks in advance for any info!

Hi,
My husband uses Dragon Naturally Speaking, and the reps who installed and set up the system didn't recommend a wireless headset for his. They said that the computer was better able to "hear" and adjust to his voice with headset that plugs directly into the PC. (not a laptop)
I had asked because a I found a bluetooth headset at Super Walmart that I wanted to get for him.
Not much help to you, but that's our experience.

I use an Andrea headset (http://www.andreaelectronics.com/buy/headsets.htm) for all my dictation. They're not the cheapest but they seem to work really well and they're very comfortable. I use the one that plugs into my soundcard but I think the USB one would probably be better. I read on many forums that wireless headsets just don't work well enough. Any interference would mess up dictation.

Take a look at this thread (http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/showthread.php?t=79747&page=4&highlight=Dragon) and start on page 4.

I use a wireless Blue Parrot headset and it works fine.
